- Beaver, Cub and Scouts Reps
Our Beaver, Cub and Scout representatives attend the Executive Committee Meetings which are held 4 times a year at the Church or over Zoom. Duties include:-
- Supporting the leaders in the Section on an outdoor/indoor trip to somewhere
- Supporting an Event that the Section is running
- Collecting monies and forms for the Event.
- Promoting the Event.
We also need volunteers to become our Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer who sit on our Executive Committee. Please let me know if you are interested in any of them.
- Camp Help
Helping on this Committee involves the following:-
Setting up for camp a few days before by erecting tents
Helping take down tents at end of camp
Cleaning up after camp (kitchen, toilets)
Helping at Beaver sleepovers with activities.
- Touch
We are very lucky to be able to have access to a large hut owned by Touch Estates in Cambusbarron. Like everything else the hut and grounds need general maintenance. Helping on this Committee would be doing duties like grass cutting, strimming, keeping the grounds clean and tidy, painting,
- Events
Helping at social events that are run from time to time, Christmas fairs, quiz evenings, AGM where we serve teas and coffees. Duties include making tea and coffee, washing up and general tidying up. Setting up hall with chairs and tables in advance of an event and tiding away at the end.
- Regular helpers
If you would like to become a permanent leader or helper on a regular basis please contact myself for more details. A PVG would be required as well as completing safeguarding, safety, GDPR modules online. Also you would have to be interviewed by our Appointments Committee.
Running an evening at Beavers, Cubs or Scouts
If you have a particular hobby that you think our Scouts would be interested in please let your Beaver, Cub or Scout Leader know.
